Materials and Techniques: Merino wool, Hand-spun and dyed Yarn, Embroidery Thread. Wet felted using an open resist method. Embroidery thread braided and stitched onto vessel.

Inspiration: You Are Here is a wet-felted vessel of layered green merino wool, accented with hand-spun yarn. Abstract lines cross and diverge like mapped roads, symbolizing life’s journeys. Connected to Time, each intersection marks a moment—past, present, or becoming—while the circular form evokes cycles of growth and continual transformatineon.

Title:  Red Dirt Rising

Materials and Techniques:  Wool, Silk, Flax. Vessel: Wet felted over open resist using wool and flax. Lid: Wet felted using "cracked mud" technique using merino wool and margilan silk.

Inspiration: Red Dirt Rising captures the passage of time through layers of suffering, renewal, and memory. Cracked surfaces and green shoots evoke cycles of hardship and hope, reflecting Oklahoma’s enduring spirit and the ongoing rise of life from red dirt across generations.
