Happy Bunny!

I start with an internal wire armature. Needle felting is used to sculpt Core wool into the basic form for the head, body and limbs of the rabbit figure. Various shapes are added to create the facial features and more detailed shaping of, e.g. paws and ears. I carded a range of Corriedale wool slivers & other Core wools together to create the blended tones I wanted for, e.g. cheeks, fur and eye colour. Bunnies have big personalities! I chose to make something inspired by happy memories and serve as stimulation to help an individual to recall their own personal history or childhood.
