Artwork 1: Donegal Garden Pot
I became tested in adding pattern and experimenting with the inclusion of pattern on a different scale, adding tweed with a herringbone woven in to interrupt the horizontal stripe from the direction of knitting. I feel the concentric circles of pattern are very evocative of a childs kaleidoscope toy

Artwork 2: Donegal Garden Bowl
I open up the shape of this vessel to see the pattern from both sides it reminds me of peering down the kaleidoscope and seeing the shapes change.

Artwork 3:
The knitted strips which are woven through also change colour there is a sense of movement and change which I felt echoes the effect in a kaleidoscope.
