Nature Notebook

I designed the work as part of a challenge to use lichen as an inspiration for a piece of felt for a Region 4 virtual meeting. I used the lichen growing on a wooden garden chair as a basis for the design and made a hand bound notebook inside. The notebook is to be used to record wildlife in the garden as we all ReConnect with the natural world during lockdown this year.

Materials and Techniques.
Wet felted merino wool with silk and cotton embellishments. Containing hand bound book of pale green paper secured by dyed freshwater pearls
