Title: The Cutest Chick
Materials and Techniques: Superfine Merino, wet felting, installation
Inspiration: The work was created in search of the humanity within. In these increasingly dark times we see the worst of our fears paraded and weaponised in our daily choices. For ever hoping to change that I worked with the Bulgarian community in Ireland to connect humans through children games in a felt installation. The connections with diaspora are complex with having to re- evaluate what and where is home and how and why you are 'welcomed' as a member of a community. The Cutest Chick is an installation curated for Cruimni na nOg the festival for children in Ireland
