Title: The Biggin Experience 

Materials and Techniques: These pieces are one artwork, meant to be viewed together. There are a number of wet felting techniques used including addition of plant material, hand printed Mulberry paper, silks, locks, making cordage and felting around found sticks.

Inspiration: The weathered sticks were collected by my grandsons on a family Summer walk in Derbyshire. As a reminder of our family coming together for a holiday I connected the branches, one for each of us, with felted panels and cordage. The colours in the free standing piece and the wall hanging capture the mood and essence of that walk. The sun is depicted at the top, with coloured Merino used to represent the warmth of the day and feelings of our party moving through the landscape, connecting with the nature around us.
