Title: Time Peace

Materials and Techniques: Merino and Bergschaf fibre, wool yarn. Needlefelt, wet felt, couching yarn and crochet

Inspiration: My husband came up with the title Time Peace and I decided to depict the Peace Symbol on the dial instead of clock hands. At first I thought of making a Grandfather Clock timepiece, but thought that would be too difficult, so I went down the pocket watch route, creating the crown out of plant stems and Bergschaf fibre first. Once I had the size of this section, I made the body of the watch from Merino, putting prefelt details on both the front and the back and making a cord to simulate the rim. The dove of peace on the reverse adds to the blue peace symbol on the face.
