Title: Infinite Cells

Materials and Techniques: merino wool, silk fabrics, threads. Prefelted multilayered tube then joined in a moebius and felted/fulled/stitched.

Inspiration: I interpreted the theme of connection as an expression of how everything is interconnected on multiple levels. Atoms, molecules, star dust, cells, plants, humans, rocks, insects...connecting and joining in infinite ways symbolized by the moebius shape. I chose the colours and textures inspired by the layers of the forest floor where I live- that I am most connected to; moss, leaves, rocks, sticks, vines, soil, insects, lichens. I hope to inspire you to notice small details and ways we are all connected to the natural world and each other.
