Title: Ring of Brodgar

Materials and Techniques: Wet felting, needle felting, machine and hand embroidery

Inspiration: The Ring of Brodgar is a very special and inspiring place. It sits in a landscape full of reminders of our ancient history. One can only wonder at our ancestors skills to build such monumental structures. With the sunset behind it becomes even more magical. Whilst we can never be sure of their purpose, many stone circles are thought to be celestial calendars marking the winter or summer solstices.
