Title: When will the puffins return to the Isles of Scilly?

Materials and Techniques: Wet felted, using merino wool, wool nepps, seaCell and silk

Inspiration: The Isles of Scilly are a beautiful archipelago of Islands 26 miles off the coast of Cornwall. Puffin’s breed on some of the off Islands, and this year, with the terrible storms we are having are unable to feed in the rough seas. They always return to the same Island, from where they have hatched and lay one egg with their partner who they breed with for life. My thoughts are for those who this year may wait for their partner who may never return. Time may stand still for some of those clowns of the sea.
