Title: Stone Wall

Materials and Techniques: Wetfelted with resists

Inspiration: I live in the Cumbrian Lake District where the fells and lanes have been lined with dry stone walls for many years. I am always fascinated by their construction, who made them and the way they are gradually encased and softened by moss and lichens.

Title:  Safe Keeping

Materials and Techniques:  Found objects and wet felt

Inspiration: I am a retired museum curator and am fascinated by the stories embodied in objects. These found objects are enclosed in wet felted wools and basketery. They symbolise the safekeeping role of museums and care of the natural world.
