Title: Spiral of Time

Materials and Techniques: Gotland and grey teeswater fibre with various inclusions wet felted on. Gotland locks, silk cap, fabrics and hand spun wool to name a few. The fossil was created with hand spun wool on a spindle and wrapped around wool rope, the spiral was hand spun wool. A clasp and lining were hand sewn on.

Inspiration: The spiral represents the recurrence of Time that still moves forward. I wanted the bag to look like it had been fossilised and turned to stone over time. But the beautiful fossilised bag is still a fully functional object and feels soft with lots of texture to the touch.
