As a child I learnt how to knit and crochet and have always had an interest in all things woolly. I learnt to spin on a weekend course with a friend and when marriage and family came along, i didnt have time to process and spin the fleeces people had kindly given me. I then discovered felting and had a solution for my lovely fleeces. I have been feltmaking for the past ten years. I have completed levels 2 and 3 City and Guilds and am currently doing an Advanced Textiles City and Guilds certificate. I am a member of a local art group and exhibit my work - hats, bags, wall hangings mainly - with them in their gallery space and other venues in my home town. I also run workshops with the art group - the funds going back into the group to fund premises and events for the community.
