Business name: Filtmaker Irene Thorsrud Eik
I started felting in 2008 and was immediately captured by the amazing qualities of wool. I am driven by a deep fascination and love of this natural material which never ceases to surprise and impress with its endless possibilities - creating soft and light textiles, but also giving solidity to textured, sculptural work. My main focus is working with 3D projects, but my workshop program also includes clothing, accessoires and interior items. The wonderful diversity of nature's textures, color combinations and forms is a great inspiration for my work. I am a juried member of Norwegian Feltmakers' Association (Norske Filtmakere) and Norwegian Association for Professional Artisans (Norske Husflidhåndverkere).
