I have been a feltmaker for over 25 years and am still enjoying discovering new techniques. Jenny Kyle introduced me to feltmaking and inspired me with her felt pictures and rugs. I have been fortunate to have been taught by many wonderful feltmakers including Sheila Smith, Alexander Pelin, Rotraut Reinhard, Larissa OGorman, a week with Sarah Waters at the Simply Special Summer school, Leiko Uchiyama and Anna Gunnarsdottir. I have exhibited with Nancy Shaffee at Craft in Focus and taken part in numerous other events. I am an active member of the Berkshire Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers and enjoy using my handspun yarns in felting. I supported the IFA committee writing their Felting with Native Sheep Breeds book which is now out. Last year I exhibited at Oxfordshire Art Weeks at FarmEd, which fitted with my focus on creating felt with the amazing rare breed fleeces that I've found jumping around the fields in the Henley countryside. I am currently working on new work and teaching.
