I have been making felt for over 20 years, since I was shown how to make it at a residential conference when I was a young leader with girl guiding, I fell in love with the process of wet felting and continued to use this process for my A-Level art projects and beyond.Over the years I have shown lots of people of various ages how to wet felt. My own children enjoy felting and often sit with me when I'm working on a piece.I have a background in fine art and textiles, so for me felting is like painting with wool.
I combine my wet felting with needle felting and add texture with different fibres and embellishments.I am based in Cornwall and inevitably my inspiration is derived from the beautiful surrounding countryside and coast.
