I am a fibre and mixed media artist living in the Clare Valley in South Australia where I teach various art activities and also host workshops taught by visiting interstate and international tutors. I have a home and studio surrounded by beautiful gum trees which is a relaxing and inspiring environment for working and teaching. With a background in sculpture and ceramics, I enjoy using colour, texture and three-dimensional form in my artwork. In recent years, I have been exploring the use of textiles and feltmaking for making wall hangings, vessels and sculptures as well as wearable art, and I also experiment with mixed media approaches using encaustic (hot wax paints), paper and free machine stitching.
