I have been felting since 2016, and I have been teaching some beginning classes since 2023. I was a teacher for 25 years, teaching English in high schools and middle schools. I have lived in Nevada, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Illinois, in the United States. I have dabbled in dyeing silk and fiber, embroidery on wet felted items, needle felting and wet felting, and using botanical dyeing and cyanotype on silks for my felting. I enjoy making vessels the most. Since 2024, I have been volunteering as the Editorial Coordinator for the IFA's Felt Matters journal. This has been rewarding work as it gives me the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded felt enthusiasts. As always happens with volunteer work, I have learned more than I have contributed, but I hope to continue to be of service as I learn more about how the IFA organization works.
