Gerlyn Brasic began sewing garments in elementary school and became fascinated with art quilts in the late 1990’s. With a busy family and career, it was 2018 before she began experimenting with her own art quilts and, later, wool felting. Gerlyn loves to travel and take photos of scenery and animals, which often serve as inspiration for her art work. Her work has been influenced by felting classes taken at the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Art, Ewetopia, and with Moy Mackey in Scotland. She frequently has pieces in art shows in Wisconsin and Minnesota and teaches wet felting classes at her quilt retreat in Bangor, Wisconsin, Dragonfly Retreat.
