Weaving Cloth for Nuno Felting
13th August 2026 - 14th August 2026
varies
Fabulous textures can be created by laminating wool fibers to cloth with nuno felting. Using a combination of yarns of different sizes, textures, and fiber content, we will break just about every weaving rule to create a delicate web of cloth. The yarns don’t need to shrink in this process because the wool roving shingled to the finished cloth does that job. We’ll spend one day weaving and the next felting. Any weight cloth can be made from Louisiana appropriate attire to ski weather warm. Best of all the sky is the limit with color and you’ll get textures no other process replicates. We’ll make a table sized piece that can be used as a scarf or cut up for other uses.
