The Big Textile Show, is organised and run by Jenny Lees a long term member of the IFA, and will always have a Feltmaking component, this year Region 8’s Feltmakers will once again be managing a Fleece and fibre Stall,as well as teaching some of the short introductory Feltmaking workshops that we hold at the event.
This is an event for makers we hope to have traders who can supply materials for your chosen craft as well as good food and super coffee and cake.
This is the 10th year we have run this show and we look forward to welcoming back many old friends and hopefully new Textile crafters who we hope will be inspired by the work on display.
So we have workshops, traders ,exhibitions ‘have a go ‘ tables and this year we will be showing a full length film ‘The Nettle Dress’ an exploration of love and processing nettle fibre to make a beautiful dress.
