A multi-tiered hollow form vessel workshop exploring both 2D and 3D template resists to create concave and convex manipulations of surface and form. Using slab built ceramic form as inspiration, we will be joining up panels and cylinders made from partial felt with two different types of surface texture: resisted plane and hollow formed protrusions. We will also sculpt the shoulder, neck and mouth of the form by strategically placing denser partial felt shapes in the layout and exploiting differential shrinkage and directional fulling.
