Feltmakers Ireland Presents ‘Symbols of Ireland’ – a group exhibition in Dublin, Ireland

5 March @ 10:00 am - 30 March @ 4:00 pm

Free

Feltmakers Ireland proudly presents ‘Symbols of Ireland’, a group exhibition celebrating Ireland’s rich cultural heritage through felt. Opening on Sunday, March 2, at 3 PM at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre Gallery, the event will be launched by Sabina Higgins (pending upon her schedule).

Using wool’s versatility, members explore Irish symbols and traditions —both ancient and modern— through sculptures, wall art, and wearable pieces. Crafted with Merino and Irish wool, artworks feature wet and needle felting, blending heritage with contemporary artistry.

The exhibition runs from March 5–30, 2025 (closed Mondays & Tuesdays). The gallery, in historic Phoenix Park, is accessible via Dublin Bus 99, and has ample parking.

Featured artwork: ‘Brigid’s Legacy’ by Jane Fox – IFA Region 14 Coordinator.
