We will begin the day by making a small piece of flat felt using luxury merino and silk prefelt as a basis to which you will add surface decoration and then finish the felting process in very short time. While the felt is drying we will learn how to make fun and funky necklaces or festival headbands using up scraps of felt and fabrics together with odd buttons and beads. This is a great way to use up your stash ! After lunch, when the felt is dry we will learn how to turn the felt into flat beads to create necklaces from your unique designer felt. Once learned, this technique can be used with any thin fabric and can be a great way to use up short lengths or recycle well loved garments into wearable art.
