We are delighted to be having Susan Mulcock visit Region 8 in October for this one day wet felted picture workshop on the theme of Autumn Woodlands. Susan works with natural fibres and fabrics, layering them with her own hand-dyed merino fibre to create beautiful, textural pictures.
In the morning we will have fun experimenting with various fibres, fabrics and techniques and after lunch we will move on to making our own wet-felted landscape. The felting process is very straight-forward so is accessible to all levels of experience.
Susan will bring a variety of materials for you to use including her own spun/dyed yarns and fibres. You will need your basic felting gear plus a photo to base your design on. If you’re like me you’ve already got hundreds of images of autumn landscapes on your phone, so plenty of source material to inspire your very own Autumn Woodland picture created with the help of Susans expert guidance.
