‘Ancient Fibre – New Journey’ Exhibition
30 April @ 11:00 am - 10 May @ 5:00 pm

A solo exhibition by textile artist Emma Jackson who has developed a new body of work that celebrates the enduring qualities wool and her creative practice.
“Wool has been central to Emma’s practice. Recently she has worked directly with whole fleeces sourced from sheep farmers. This has brought her into a closer relationship with the raw materials and the people who produce it, deepening her understanding of wool in its natural state. Working in this way led Emma to develop a greater appreciation for the intrinsic qualities of undyed wool – its subtle tones, tactile richness and natural scent. In response, she has developed a new body of work that celebrates the enduring qualities of this ancient fibre and highlights its natural beauty.”
