Some of you will already have received the September issue of Felt Matters and may have spotted our mention of a new book giveaway. We’ve since had a few questions, so here’s alittle more information on how it will work.
First, a quick note for our members: posting Felt Matters outside of the UK can sometimes take a month or more. While you’re waiting for your hard copy to arrive, don’t forget you can always read the latest edition online in the Journal Archive once you’ve signed in to your
account on our website.
Because we wanted to give every member—whether in the UK or further afield, and whether active on social media or not—a fair chance to join in, we decided to slightly delay the start of the giveaway.
How to Take Part
To enter, simply complete the short entry form
https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/giveawaywoolsculpting/.
We’ll only ask for your name, country of residence and email address—nothing else. If you’re one of the lucky winners,
our Publicity Officer, Nadja Rein, will contact you by email to confirm your postal address so
one of three books can be sent directly to you.
- Starting date is 1st October 2025
- Closing date is 15th October 2025
- The live draw will be on Monday 20 October 2025.
More information will be shared on our social channels closer to the date.
Once the entry period closes, Nadia will draw the winners’ names “out of a hat” live during a short social media session. The three lucky winners will each receive a copy of the book, kindly provided by the publisher.
About the Book
We are delighted to share that the giveaway is for Wool Sculpting: Needle Felting for Beginners by Louise Lambert, published by Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. This inspiring new title introduces the art of sculpting wool with a needle, offering
step-by-step guidance perfect for beginners. Packed with creative projects and practical tips, it’s a wonderful resource for anyone keen to explore the sculptural possibilities of felt. A full review by Mo Parker appears in the September issue of Felt Matters on p.37—so do
take a look if you’d like to read more before entering!
