SUMMARY:Experiment with Fabrics to Felt with
DESCRIPTION:The aim of the workshop is to create a nuno sampler incorporating at least 5 types of fabric with merino wool. Our objective will be to work with a variety of fabrics to experience\, observe and record\n*The handle of each fabric\n*The fabric structure\n*How each fabric interacts with the wool fibres as its laid out and goes through the stages of bonding with the fibres (pre-felt and fulled)\n*Share tips & good practice when making nuno felt. \nThe sampler you make can be used for future reference or made into a notebook cover or other item after the workshop. \nNotes & fabric will be mailed out to UK participants who book before 14th April. If you miss the deadline or are based further afield than the UK the notes can be emailed to you and you can make use of the fabrics you have available to you in your stash. We will send you information on the fabrics we will using ahead of the session. Zoom meeting booking details will be sent out to those booking.\nRegion 9 Workshop – other members welcome.
