SUMMARY:Wet Felt on Silk Workshop with Steph Jansen @feltsteph
DESCRIPTION:Learn how I create my wet felt landscapes\, and create a beautiful piece of fabric to frame or make into something special. \nYou will be guided to lay out and felt a layered image on silk chiffon\, using the beautiful merino wool tops\, locks\, nepps\, mohair & silks in my extensive stash! You will also have the option to try layering in fabric pieces and yarns. \nYour finished piece will be approx. 26cm x 20cm & can be further embellished at home. \nBring an image of a special place\, a sketch or simply let the materials & your imagination guide you. \nThis workshop is suitable for complete beginners\, but will also bring something new to your felting if you have some experience. The session will give plenty of time to enjoy the process as well as the option to learn further techniques. \nThe gorgeous Deer Park workshop room overlooks the surrounding countryside and is filled with natural light – the perfect space for our workshop! Places are limited to 6\, and each workshopper will have their own table and workspace. \nI have reserved a table in the onsite café for lunch\, and we can pre-order on arrival (to be paid on the day). If you’d rather not join us\, you are welcome to bring your own food. \nAll materials\, tea\, coffee and biscuits are provided.
