Moira Searle, a member of the IFA’s Region 4, spent last March, in the first lockdown, making drawings from a family heirloom, a Victorian christening gown. This led her to explore ideas inspired by this in felt and culminated in making several pieces which were exhibited with the Society of Designer Craftsmen in the Oxmarket Gallery, Chichester.

She has since been invited to show a selection of these pieces in an exhibition in Highbury, London from 3rd – 13th December, Wednesday through to Sunday each week from 12 pm to 6 pm each day. She will be stewarding on 10th and would love to see anyone who can visit.

Moira was recently interviewed by Jonny Dredge, the curator of the exhibition, A Year In Lockdown.
