Title 
Fractured Waves Vase

The theme of ReConnect made me think of connections being broken during the current pandemic, both literal ones (such as technical Zoom links and mobile phone connections being lost during calls) and the loss of our physical connections to family and friends. I use a lot of wave imagery within my wet felting so it made sense to me to represent this as broken waves, though the fact that the waves still connect gives hope for better connections in the future.

Materials and Techniques
Finnwool fibre felted around a ball resist; thin foam resist strips laid between the fibre layers, with mohair yarns inserted between them; resist strips cut open and mohair yarns stitched to join the waves prior to fulling.
