It is a unique museum that is surrounded by a beautiful park and gardens, including a dye garden and marvellous views over the city. It also has an aquarium and butterfly house, and an animal walk that includes Alpaca and Sheep. The museum houses collections of anthropology, natural history and musical instruments. The cost for members to attend the AGM is £25.00 to include:
Tea/coffee on arrival, lunch, a talk by Fiona Kerlogue “Mary Burkett and the history of the Horniman Museum’s felt collection” and an opportunity to visit the conservation room to view some of the collection up close.
