SUMMARY:Region 8 Summer School
DESCRIPTION:On July 27th and 28th Pat and Jenny will be hosting our annual Summer School at Arnesby….. think of it as less “school” and more as two consecutive Play Days! It’s always a relaxing get together and a great opportunity to spend two days felting with like minded souls and no distractions! \nIt’s open to members and non members so if you have a friend you’d like to bring along they will be made very welcome.\nPlease bring a packed lunch\, your felting gear and project or ideas to work with. Tea\, coffee and biscuits will be provided.\nContact Pat Screaton.\nAs always\, please let us know if you’re coming so we know how many tables to put out. This also helps in case of unforeseen cancellation.

SUMMARY:Wet Felted Sculptural Trees with Karen Stewart
DESCRIPTION:On the 11th October Karen Stewart will be teaching a wet felting workshop based on her fabulous sculptural tree pictures. Karen will guide us through how to sculpt an ancient tree picture with textural bark\,  gnarled branches and twisted roots\, created using wool\, art yarn\, silk and plant materials. Later in the day Karen will demonstrate how we can refine our trees adding more detail and texture with needle felting.\nSuitable for all abilities and a requirements list will be received on receipt of booking.\nPlease bring a packed lunch.
