DESCRIPTION:Discover the art of wet felting in this immersive four-week course\, designed to take you from first exploration of fibre to confidently creating a beautiful wearable piece. Working in a small\, supportive group\, you’ll learn core wet felting techniques while completing a finished item each week. \nLed by fibre artist Vicky Pulman of Needlessly Felted\, the course gently builds skills and confidence\, combining technical learning with creative freedom. You’ll explore how wool behaves\, how to shape and control felt\, and how to use colour\, texture\, and composition to create both artwork and wearables. \nCourse Dates (Wednesdays) \n– 18th February\n– 25th February\n– 4th March\n– 11th March \n– 4-hour sessions\n– Small group – max 6.\n– £235 for all 4 weeks (all materials included)\n– The Boat House\, Congleton \, Cheshire (Unfortunately this is not an accessible venue due to stairs)\n– Each session runs for 4 hours – 10-2pm. \nOver the four weeks\, you will create: \n– A textured felted sample panel or wall hanging\n– A sculptural felted bowl or vessel\n– A felted landscape artwork inspired by nature\n– A luxurious wet felted snood \nThe course covers fibre selection\, layout and layering\, resist techniques\, shrinkage control\, surface design\, and finishing – giving you a solid foundation in wet felting and the confidence to continue independently. \nAll materials and equipment are provided\, and no previous experience is required.
