Title: Black Opal

My sculpture “Black Opal” with is vibrant colours and black lines is a reflection on Opals mined at Lightning Ridge, NSW. The black wool inside bounces the bright colours similar to black on the back of opals. It reminds me of looking into a Kaleidoscope, seeing many different colours, shapes and lines.

Materials and Techniques:
Wet felting, Crossbreed, Merino Wool, matt varnish
