From a very early age I was always interested in textiles, from sewing to designing and making my own knitware, however I had never had formal training in it, just inspiration from my Mum and my own desire to make things. In my 30's I found that family and work took up all my time and stopped me from being creative and it was not until I was in my 50's that I discovered felt, and got hooked. I've been felting for just over 5 years now and particularly love 3D work, which includes such items as Hats, Felt Lighting and Bird Pods! Much of my work includes hand dyed wools and silk fibres. In 2017 I, along with 4 other feltmakers, set up an artists co operative in Reeth, Swaledale, called Fleece. It is here I sell my work.
