I first discovered needle felting back in 2010, during a random image search. I immediately had to find out what it was and how it was done. I ordered a selection of needles, gathered some fleece from the hedgerows and made a start. I've never looked back since.I've always loved animals and the sight of a hare crossing my path or the bright tail of a fox vanishing over a wall always makes my day. I studied sculpture many years ago, where I became interested in Celtic art and folklore. It led to a life long interest in medieval illustration and the mythologies associated with animals and plants, which also informs my work.I still regards needle felting as a magical process and enjoy teaching others.
