Business name: STRONGFELT works of Lisa Klakulak
Fiber's malleability and its processes of accretion captured my attention as a kid. I could easily manipulate it and build something from seemingly nothing. That sense of empowerment has guided my life decisions: starting my first handwork business at 18, pursuing a Fine Arts Degree with a Fiber focus in my 20's, becoming a certified arts educator for K-12 school grades and an instructor of adult workshops and of course, continuing to explore making as a means for processing the extraordinary experiences of being human. Awarded, published and supporting myself through creating and teaching under the moniker of STRONGFELT for the past two decades, I've been known to teach wet felting around the globe. Grateful for these opportunities I've had and open to more. I find myself celebrating the ability to connect more efficiently and with less ecological impact via my Online & Onpoint! Felt Jewelry Course Series: Material, Technique & Impact, since 2020, though I am a big advocate for travel... be that steps outside the door of your dwelling to places far far away that bring full on paradigm shifting. Linger longer. Look closer.
