After years of working to pay the bills felting found me. From small experiments in wet felting, a short sojourn into needlefelting and years of learning from others that have gone before, I found the confidence to call myself a textile and fibre artist. Working mainly in wet felting, I create individual pieces that are usable - whether as a personal accessory (scarves, handbags, gloves) or for home decor (vessels, vases and wall hangings). I continue to learn and develop. Occasionally I teach others.My love of working with fibre also includes making paper from pulp, handbinding books and creating unique covers. I love exploring colour and nature (especially trees). I explore dying fabrics, eco and botanical printing on silk and wool.However, nothng beats the sweet smell of wet wool when felting....
