I live in East Cumbria UK , run a small farm with my husband John and keep a flock of pure Gotland sheep and a few mixed cross breed sheep as a fibre flock .
The sheep are cared for as naturally as possible, within organic guidelines with no chemical added to their fleece they graze on old meadow pasture and live a long and happy life under the northern Pennines .
We shear the sheep ourselves and all wool is processed on the farm from hand washing to woollen carding on a large 100 year old sample carder producing large wool batts for hand spinners and felt makers.
I specialise in producing felted fleece Gotland rugs and hold felt fleece rug workshops here on the farm during the summer months.
