I'm an entrepreneur/fiber artist living and working in Helsinki and in a tiny village in Finnish Lapland. I'm a Sámi, (indigenous people of Finland) and my cultural backround is the major inspiration for my work, but also city life and travelling gives me endless ideas to work with. Since my early childhood fashion, art and visual beauty has been a huge passion of mine. I'm partly self-taught artist/craftsman but I have also studied arts of handicrafts in 2008-2012 as an adult education.
I came across wet felting in 2008 and it has been my passion since then. Wool as a material is especially interesting for me due to its multipurpose use and the variety it brings to the products.
