Business name: FeltCrafts LLC
Anne’s first introduction to felt was as a child visiting her grandparents in Norway where nearly everyone had a pair of felt boots. When a Danish friend was visiting in 1983, she learned how to make a pair of felt slippers using the Scandinavian felting technique for seamless wearables. From that point on, felt became a focus for her and she eventually wrote five books on felt making and appeared in two felt making videos with Victorian Video Productions available through Yarn Barn of Kansas. In 1995 Anne began developing felt making craft kits for children and eventually developed a line of 32 kits for children and adults under the name “FeltCrafts”. In 1999 her “Little Felt People” craft kit received a Parents Choice Gold Award. In 2015 designed three kits for Harrisville Designs: Felted Crown Kit, Felted Jewelry Kit and Felted Farm Animal Kit which can be found on their website: Harrisville.com.In 2011 Anne sold the kit and needle felting supplies part of her business to focus more on making felt wearable art. Her award-winning work has been in juried and invitational shows. In addition to making wearable art, Anne and her husband, Don manage the FeltCrafts LLC business in Tierra Amarilla, New Mexico. The business provides felt makers with rolling machines for wet felting and tabletop needle felting machines which they ship worldwide.
