I'm a feltmaker from Essen, in Germany. Creativity has always played a large role in my life. When I accidentally got to know the art of wet felting over ten years ago, I got hooked. I love the transition from loose fibres with water, soap and my hands to felt of any kind. As a widely travelled person I'm inspired by other cultures, landscapes and feltmakers from around the world.
I attend online and face-to-face workshops with national or international feltmakers as I'm eager to try all kinds of techniques. I regularly take part in international projects or challenges in order to show that felting has hardly any boundaries.
In my own studio I experiment and create felted objects that are often gifts for other people. Since 2014 I've been blogging about my experiences on my website "www.filzsi.com" with my motto "How I felt in love...". You can also find me on social media (facebook and instagram).
Whenever possible I visit felt exhibitions in Germany or abroad and report on them in my blog or in national or internation felt magazines, such as "Filzfun", "Felt Matters" or “Felt“.
