Lamorna Thomas

My daughter Abigail taught me to felt wool. At first I was clumsy with the wool and created very colourful clothing accessories, all of which are much too thick, but over time I have understood the fibres, and different breeds of wool, and become better at laying out my wet felting projects. I am a member of Region 5, even though I live in a different region, because the meetings are easier to get to. I tend to felt in Winter as my proper job is running a garden design and maintenance business, which, by its nature, is busy from March through to December. However, I have had the need to create works for exhibitions during Summer months.
