Artwork 1: Hubble   5053 

This oversized cloche hat was inspired by the stunning images transmitted by the Hubble space telescope. The colours and patterns are like looking into a cosmic kaleidoscope. 

Materials and Techniques

Wet felting, Merino fibre, Corridale fibre, Margalian silk, acid dye.

Artwork 2: Firecracker 

This hat was influenced by the kaleidoscope of colours and movement in a firework display.

Wet felting and needle felting, Merino fibre, Viscose fiber, Teesdale and Wensleydale locks

Artwork 3: KomoRebi./Treelight  

KomoRebi is the Japanese way to describe sunlight through trees or tree light. The colours in this hat were influenced whilst walking through a shady woodland. The way the rays of sunlight danced through the leaves. Glimpsing the bright Kaleidoscopic patterns and colours of the springtime fields in the distance.
