Artwork 1 Title: Woodland Whimsy Beret 

Materials and Techniques:

Materials: Bergschaf wool, Merino Wool, silk fabrics and fibers, and assorted embellishing fibers.

Technique: Wet-felted, using resists and Shibori techniques. 

I love making hats and liken them to wearable works of art. Feltmaking allows us to design timeless classic hat styles, as well as hats with a sense of fun and whimsy. I enjoyed making this beret resembling a forest floor, through the creation of a highly textured, embellished surface.
