Artwork 1 Title: Custom Sunflower Beret for Rory

Materials and Techniques: Wet Felting of Bergshaf and Merino Wool, Silk Fabric, Viscose Fibres, 

Millinery Stiffener, and Thread. The hat has multiple resists which I stitched together in the soft prefelt stage. It also has cracked earth technique, use of handmade prefelt for the petals, machine topstitching along the petals, and millinery stiffener solely for the yellow brimmed section.

The Sunflower Beret was a custom order from Rory Pozzolo – @mrfabulousdesigns, a Canadian fashion designer. Last March, he purchased a beret from my online shop. Within a week, he ordered another. By May, he had ordered six hats. The seventh was a gift from me. He wanted a sunflower!
