Felt Swap 2021
In the swap of 2021, we asked for pieces of felt related to the theme Weave. More than 100 IFA feltmakers from all over the world sent and received a wonderful array of felt pieces. Here is a selection of those pieces.
Felt Swap 2022
For our third swap, the theme was Structure, which participants were free to interpret in any way they liked. Again, more than 100 IFA feltmakers from all over the world sent and received their varied felt pieces. Enjoy this vidoe of some of those pieces.
Felt Swap 2023
In year 2023, following the themes of Light, Weave, and Structure from previous years, the chosen motif was “BROOCH”. This year’s swap event saw the participation of over 100 IFA feltmakers from across the globe, exchanging their fantastically varied felt creations. Felt Swap 2024
The fifth IFA felt swap is organised for 2024. The theme of this year’s felt swap is BRACELET.
You can use many techniques – wet felting, dry felting, and all kinds of ways to make your felt exciting. The size of the bracelet is up to you. Whether you are a beginner or
more experienced, you are welcome to join in. The main thing is to make something with care, and send it to the feltmaker you are paired with within the allotted time.
THE CONCEPT OF THE SWAP IS SIMPLE: Make a piece of felt, according to the theme. Send it to your swap partner, and you will receive a piece of felt from the person you
are swapping with. Should you not be able to send your felt in time, you need to contact your swap partner yourself. We organise this swap, but cannot
take responsibility for people not sending their felt in the month agreed upon.
PUBLICATION: When your bracelet is finished, we would like to receive a picture of it. The pictures, with the maker’s name mentioned, will be used in a video presentation of the swap,
and may also feature in Felt Matters. The video will be shared on the IFA website and also on (open to all) social media.
When you send the picture, please provide your full name to prevent any mistakes when it is published.

• If you have one, your “handle” on Instagram.
• Please also mention if you would prefer to swap with a feltmaker who lives on the same continent as you. We will then take this into account as much as possible when putting the duos together.
Please send this information before 1st August 2024. Completed felt items should be sent to your swap partner by 31st October. Before you send the item that you made, remember to take a photograph of it, and send a copy to us for inclusion in the 2024 Felt Swap video and online posting.
