DESCRIPTION:You will create a Stylised Giraffe in your own time.  \nThe length of the course is the equivalent of an intensive weekend workshop. \nThis course is designed to take your skills beyond prescribed kits\, so that you can start to create your own designs or at least add your own features to a pattern. If you are a beginner it is still possible to follow but I would advise watching the videos first and then joining in. \nI show you each step of the creation process\, talking you through what I am doing and why\, plus adding in tips to help you with this and other projects. \nThe workshop is videod in a combination of overhead and straight-on so that you do not miss a thing. There are downloadable pdf’s of the template to follow and a full fibre list whether you want to use wool or plant based fibres. \nOn-line

DESCRIPTION:Based on Canadian smocking\, these techniques do not lend themselves to a real time workshop. Therefore\, I chose to offer a demonstration where I explained three different pleating techniques and how to apply them to make scarves. If you missed the ‘live’ demonstration\, you can still purchase the recording\, which explains how to prepare felt for the pleating\, how to create the pleats and finish with various dyeing methods.

DESCRIPTION:In this workshop you are going to create a convex felted wall shield with decorative line patterns. You will learn how to make a solid\, substantial felt object and design its surface in a very individual way.
