It is likely to be green and warm earlier than many other parts of interior BC. We’ll\nbe surrounded by trees and a creek with lots of windows for light\, beautiful views\, and nature breaks.\nWe’ll make our own self-directed projects with the intention of playing with the alchemy of acid dyes on\nfelt and eco-print on felt.\nFull days of felting\, talking felt\, acid dyeing\, eco-printing and more felt. We’ll make samples of white\nwool with additions- fabrics\, fibres\, silks\, and then submersion acid dye and/or eco-print them. (a few\ndifferent times so you can make more samples to test)\nYou’ll work independently on a felt piece(s). Large\, small\, multiple\, 3D- it’s up to you. Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. \nThis workshop is aimed at adults (18+) that have done a few needle felting projects before and have a good grasp of the basics… attendees should already have a basic grasp of needle felting and be able to make firmly felted shapes (balls\, eggs\, flat shapes) … The focus will be on using a simple armature and fur planting\, so if thats something that you are looking to move onto\, this workshop is for you! \nTypes of wool\, needles and processes are explained and then you will be guided through the process\, step by step whilst Natalie makes along with you. by then end you have produced a lovely ostrich to take home with you… if you dont quite finish\, you may take materials from the workshop to add any finishing touches at home. \nAll materials are provided. I have named it the matchstick necklace.\nWhen laying out the wool\, we will pay particular attention to the composition of materials and fibre\ndirection\, in order to create a stable felt and firmly enclose the colored section at the lower edge.\nThis allows us to cut many narrow strips later\, with their upper end securely anchored in a collar.\nEverything is felted again to seal the cuts and give the matchsticks an organic and perfect finish.\nIf you don’t like it quite so opulent or would like to practise on a simpler model first\,\nyou may want to start with fewer tiers. Ich habe es Streichholz Collier getauft.\nBeim Auslegen werden wir besonders auf Materialzusammensetzung und Faserrichtung achten\,\ndamit ein stabiler Filz entsteht\, bei dem auch der farbige Abschnitt am unteren Rand gut haltbar\neingeschlossen ist.\nDas erlaubt uns später viele schmale Streifen zu schneiden\, deren oberes Ende fest in einem\nHalsband verankert ist.
